March 2002
The Society is joined by Miles Harvey, author of The Island of Lost Maps, to discuss his book.
August 2002
The Society, while innocently strolling along Navy Pier, is kidnapped by a member of the Chicago Police Department and taken by boat to the site of the sinking of the Eastland, as chronicled in Eastland: Legacy of the Titanic. No charges were brought by either Society members or the police.
January 2003
Nan L. Glass, one of the survivors of The Circus Fire, is interviewed by Brother Strokosch
September 2003
Author Harry Mark Petrakis joins the Society in Chicagos Greek Town for a discussion of his book, The Odyssey of Kostas Volakis.
July 2010
Author Karen Abbot joins the Society by speaker phone for an interview about her book, Sin in the Second City.
